Wheelchair Van Hire

Flintwood’s wheelchair accessible vehicle is available for hire. It’s a Toyota HiAce and it’s been designed to transport people with disabilities or the frail aged. It comes with a Disabled Parking Label to make your journey easier. 

No special courses, just an induction by staff (and some common sense). You can even do your induction on the day you hire, just make sure you plan some extra time so our staff can show you how everything works, including the Wheelchair Q’straits and the hoist.

Cost is $40 per day, and a full tank of petrol on return.

Flintwood is happy for the bus to get out and about because it means our Participants are getting out and enjoying life. It’s available for individuals, community groups and families.

The vehicle can accommodate a driver, 7 passengers and one wheelchair or a driver, 3 passengers and two wheelchairs. The bus is available 24/7 but pick up and drop off at Flintwood’s head office at Unit 4/10 Gladstone Rd Castle Hill, must be between 8.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday (unless arranged prior).

Please Note: The vehicle is only available for transporting people with disabilities or the frail aged. Hire is only available for travel around the Greater Sydney Metro Area (Wollongong, Blue Mountains and the Central Coast).
